Layered Cherry Pastry Cake - This luscious, layered, German cherry pastry cake, is fresh, fruity, and fabulous! A nice change from the ordinary, the cherries are wrapped in dough, and oven baked to a warm, golden brown. Once cooled they are layered and smothered in a homemade icing/sauce, and look like a cake. Of course you can substitute the cherries for your favorite, if you prefer.
